Company profile - History
Bewo was founded in 1936 by two residents of Tilburg, Messrs. Bertens and van de Wouw, resulting in the name BEWO.

In 1948 the company had grown to such an extent that it was decided to look at making and developing products in-house.

More or less by chance, the first Bewo product was a cross-cut sawing machine. This was the basis of the Bewo we know today. It was only a small step to expand the range with a circular sawing machine alongside the cross-cut sawing machine, which had already gained quite a reputation.

Late "fifties" Bewo produced and developed ´automatic circular sawing machines´ namely for the tube production and tube processing industries. Soon followed by customer demands, the introduction of deburring automatic machines and tube cleaning machines.

Today, many years later, BEWO Cutting Systems B.V., with its ´vast´ experience, is a world leader in this field. Sawing lines have become more and more automated during the last decade, an area where Bewo's 70 years of experience have proved to be of great ´profit´ to their customers.
